"I have absolutely loved every item I've purchased from Gaiam, so when it came time to look for a new set of towels naturally this was my first choice. After reading all the good reviews for this product I decided to purchase a set of Thick & Thirsty Organic Towels. When they arrived I was very happy with the thick, soft texture and luxurious color. However the problems began when I put them in the wash: they pilled and kept pilling. Little bits of lint were left inside of the washing machine, and huge clumps in the dryer. The problem does not go away with repeated washings, as I'd hoped. Every time I use the towels I end up with lint particles in my hair and on my body. These towels are very beautiful so it's a shame that this is happening. I don't know what I could've done differently to prevent this and wish there was somehow I could fix this problem."
