"This bamboo screen is a focal point in my small yoga studio. I have received several compliments on this screen with its original design. It is a sturdy screen and is easily rolled away for storage. I highly recommend this product."

Great Portable Sun and Privacy Control
Date: September 18, 2009
"I started with just one of the these a few weeks ago, and have now bought a total of three. I am very happy with my purchases so far.
I use these for portable sun control. The first screen I put in my curtainless cabin. I had been waking up from the sun shining directly into my face at sunrise. I didn't want to put in curtains or blinds as I have a great view of a lake out of my floor to ceiling window. I have this set up with part of the roll behind my nightstand, and then just a few feet unrolled and extending out parallel to my bed - it has worked wonderfully. Not extending it fully leaves it much more stable. I can leave it up all the time, it looks really nice and is not too in the way. The room retains that wonderful open feeling.
I bought one more for my cabin eating area and then another for my modern house. Opening it today I just wrapped it around the kitchen table while my son and husband work on their computers. Since it is fully extended, it has a bit of an unattractive lean to it - not horrible. It does have to be close to the user if the sun is high, but I can put it away later in the day when it is not needed. And it is attractive rolled up so I will just tuck it to the side. (It looks much better than the temporary remedy of cardboard sitting behind the computer.)
The biggest downside is that they are not very stable without something to help them stay upright. Also, they are a bit unwieldy to control when you are rolling them up. The waviness of the screen is what anchors and keeps it upright it if it is left free-standing - ie, you can't extend it full length and have it be stable. Also without some bracing it is prone to falling over if it is bumped or in the wind.
I am thinking I might try to put together a bit of support for them by using vertical bars to anchor the edges - with one bar on wheels and one in a discrete stand of some sort (just like a thick dowel in a piece of wood). This could really help the stability and ease of use."

"Beautiful color and craftsmanship. Flexible to many spaces, and very sturdy. This divider has done an amazing job of transforming the feel of my small apartment by separating the kitchen and living area. Well worth the initial investment!!"
