"I took a chance and purchased this CD. I have since loaned it to friends and everyone loves it. The music is really beautiful and soothing without being too cheesy or "new agey." I think it's perfect for massage music or as background music to work to. I have since done some research on the composer John McDowell who is really accomplished and has a lot of interesting work out there including the film score to the doc Born Into Brothels. All in all, highly recommended if you like thoughtful, well composed and performed world music."
