"Well, the first thing I love is Sting's music. I could just meditate to that. I agree with the other reviews in that I think you need some previous yoga knowledge if you want to get right into the flow. James D'Silva's voice is so relaxing. I like the 2 meditations for ending the session. I've done the full version and the express version always ending with the meditations. The setting and the environmental content are also very good & thought provoking."

Review 2 for Trudie Styler's Warrior Yoga® DVD
"This disk presents a good yoga workout in a beautiful setting: the Tuscan villa owned by Sting and his wife, Trudy. She co-stars in the villa with her yogi, James. They concentrate on one side of the body and then do the other, so don't fret if it at first seems"un-even". My only qualm is the voice-over does not correct for the right/left quandry. If you are watching for visual cues you will mirror the performers, so your right side is their left. However they refer to their proper side, so you either have to watch or listen but not both. I prefer to mirror. When they turn away from the viewer, then their right side is your right side. But you get a full workout because you'll do the other side in the same way.
The video was beautiful, energizing, and relaxing. And of course the music was very nice. There is an option for a half-length for days when time is of the essence."

"I have not worked out in years. Unfortunately, now that I have been diagnosed with lupus I finally got around it. It has been a process, since I am fairly new to yoga. After a month I am toning and getting stronger. The video is both soothing and inspiring. Just wish the meditation portion was a little bit longer (at least 10 minutes)."

"The more I do this yoga class, the better I like it. Now I can do the full 50 min session and really feel relaxed coming out of the class. The meditation classes are also nice"

decent yoga programmes
Date: August 8, 2010
"Very nicely 'flowed' series of asanas. The warrior thing should not be off-putting; this is not yoga for kickboxing or any such nonsense. Ms Tyler, clearly devoted to a strong practice, is secondary on the video itself, which seems odd. No matter. The asana instruction is nicely done, as challenging as you want it to be, and (assuming you like Sting's music) accompanied by an appropriate sound track. If you go as far as you are ready to go in any given workout, I think you will find this most satisfying."

"This is a great intermediate workout. The scenery and music are beautiful. The cues are a little difficult to follow - it would help if they mirrored the positions. Otherwise, I would recommend this to anyone looking to add variety to their practice."

Review 8 for Trudie Styler's Warrior Yoga® DVD
"I was expecting better flow and more dance like moves from the description on the website. Not enough verbal description of the positions to follow without really watching. The guided mediation was well done and enjoyable, but that's not what I bought it for."

Date: February 15, 2010
"The location is beautiful, the music and Yoga are very soothing. There is some level of difficulty, but you do what you're comfortable with. Loved both the yoga and meditation segments, and of course, the extras on Sting and Villa itself. Beautiful setting for a soothing escape."

Date: February 13, 2010
"I have enjoyed doing Trudie Styler's Warrior Yoga video very much. I like the pace of the practice and the sequences are easy to follow and transition nicely from one to another. If I don't have time to get to a yoga class I put in this DVD and get a nice workout. This a DVD I reach for often! I would and have recommend this DVD to friends of mine."

Great Instructor!
Date: February 12, 2010
"I have a number of yoga DVDs and this is in the top two - James D'Silva is a wonderful instructor. I'd recommend this to anyone that has experience with yoga. It wouldn't be a good choice for a beginner, someone new to yoga, because it doesn't cover the basics you'd want to know as a beginner."

"Having visited Italy, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the scenery around where she lives. Italy is now my favorite place in Europe to visit. How fortunate she is to live in such a glorious, beautiful place. I do feel like she talks "down" to us abit; but still enjoyed doing the yoga."

"As I trust most things from Gaiam relating to yoga, I bought this CD. I am an experienced yoga teacher who needed to focus on my practice.
The DVD isn't for beginners but definitely is wonderful for those of us who know the proper form. Its flow is wonderful and James' voice paired with Sting's music makes it a wonderful time.
I would recommend this to any seasoned beginner or above student."

Not just for Sting fans
Date: January 8, 2010
"Even if you don't care for Sting, you may find yourself a fan after using this video. Altho Sting's presence is minimal, his music combines with this yoga DVD to create one of the most beautiful, informational, and serene "exercise" DVDs to date. Just watching it gives one a mental/visual vacation that can't be denied. Truly imparts all that is yoga, the world around us, and the impact one person can have."

Looking forward to more yoga DVD's w/James D'Silva
Date: December 13, 2009
"Although I still remain a fan of Rodney Yee and Suzanne Deason, I enjoyed James D'Silva's flowing routine, relaxing voice and Sting's background music. I would rate the yoga difficulty as slightly above beginner but not past intermediate level. I think the left/right confusion lies in the fact that he goes through all of one side for the whole routine, then all of the opposite side on the routine, instead of one move left/right, next move left/right. It's ok, it's just different. The Express 25 min. routine is great for the weekday, and Warrior, 45 min. is better for a longer bits of time on the weekend. I was waiting for relaxation pose at the end of the routine, but there isn't one. You have go back to the main menu and click into one of the meditations. Overall it is a great DVD and I look forward to seeing more of James D'Silva on Gaiam products."

One of my Favorites
Date: December 12, 2009
"This DVD is beautifully done. I agree with another review that the left/right cueing is somewhat confusing at times, but after practicing the video several times, I listen to the cues as opposed to watching Trudie and James. James has a wonderful, soothing voice, the music is uplifting and I feel like I am right there with them in Tuscany. Just love this one!"
