"Exactly what we were looking for ... farmer's market shopping, nice wide bottom so the produce doesn't skwish one another, but deep enough so the bread doesn't up-end itself out of the basket while walking! also perfect for transporting art class supplies to & from class... and i have another by the fireplace filled with magazines, and another filled with doggie toys.
My only worry was whether I'd like the design/colors of the basket, but it is beautiful, navy weaving through and a green touch throughout the grass...
Price is reasonable, I think. I've paid more in person at local markets, but haven't been able to find them lately.
Only wear point to watch for is the handle attachment stitching...

"I did not want one with red/pink/purple as I wanted to use the basket at home as well as the 18th Century Events. The second basket came with nothing but earth tones and is wonderful. It is very sturdy and well made as well as having a lovely pattern. I purchased it because a friend of mine has had her basket 8 years and has taken it from her home to market to the beach and it still looks almost new."

"I ordered this basket thinking that I would receive one that looked somewhat like those pictured on this website. But, the one sent to me is enitirely BRIGHT ORANGE. This basket is well made and the size is right; but, I sure didn't want BRIGHT ORANGE! I feel as if somebody just grabbed the basket nobody wanted and sent it to me. Anyway, it's too much trouble to return it. If you order this basket, contact GAIAM and give them a ballpark idea of the color(s) you want. Otherwise, they may have another BRIGHT ORANGE basket to send your way. Surprise!"

"I absolutely love this basket! I'm currently using it to store my yoga props and magazines. I love the pattern and it's a lot sturdier than expected. Plus it's a fair trade item for a great price! The only problem I had was that it was shipped in a slightly too small box, so it arrived squished, but it came with directions on how to reshape it that worked wonders. Overall a great purchase, and I'll definitely keep it in mind for gifts in the future."
