"This is our second purchase of this compost bucket. It is great. We have a tiny kitchen and I didn't want one to sit on the counter top, this fits nicely under the sink. It is perfect, easy to open one handed, even with my left hand, while my right hand is full of veggi bits. The wide mouth makes it easy to clean once a month. I empty it twice a week if we are cooking at home a lot, but thats all from scratch vegetarian cooking. I really don't know why anyone would spend more on the heavy ceramic model."

"I purchased this compost bucket a few months ago, and it has performed exactly as advertised. It releases very little odor, even if there is a lot of smelly fruit and vegetable waste inside. It holds several days' worth of kitchen waste so we don't have to go to the compost pile every day. We have not yet had to replace the filter."

"Bought this bucket to put kitchen compost in. It does prevent odors which is great, but if not emptied frequently, those tiny "fruit flies" tend to multiply. Holds a good amount of compost, but lid can be hard to open with one hand or with your hands full. Wish it came in other colors besides green..."

"Great product for the price. It definitely controlled the awful odor that an indoor kitchen compost bin has. It's wonderful! The size if perfect for a 2-person household and it looks cuter that I thought it would. I just wish it came in different colors and that there was a way to control the odor but still have air circulate around the compost bag/liner because when I take the compost bag/liner out, I always have to rinse the bin out because the compost bag/liner leaves a wetness behind. But that is a more than acceptable compromise to having and un-smelly compost bin. Oh, and I also wish there was a hands-free way to open the bin, but I don't know of any compost bin that has that feature."

"I bought this a few months ago and it works just as described. It sits on my kitchen counter and I haven't noticed any odors. I wish I'd bought the larger size bucket - it does fill up quickly (especially if you're shucking corn)."
