"I have been using this for the past six months to keep kitchen scraps before adding them to out composter. The stainless steel is very easy to keep clean, and the filters work well to minimize the odor. The filters kept the odor to a minimum even in the heat of summer in our house without air conditioning, where the temperature was around 80 degrees.
We wash it out every week with a citrus based cleaner and warm water.
We have also just started using the BioBag liners, and we really like the ease of use of the liner. I'm skeptical if they will breakdown in the composter, but we shall see.
The capacity is okay. We eat lots of fresh produce, so we sometimes have to empty it more than once per week.
Definitely a good way to minimize the odor and mess of composting kitchen scraps."
