BioBags™ - Kitchen Compost Liner - set of 3

BioBags™ - Kitchen Compost Liner - set of 3

For years, we've searched for an alternative to polyethylene-based plastics for the kitchen, the dog waste and the yard; and we're proud to finally say that we've found an answer in Bio-Bags and Garden Bio-Film. Made from cornstarch, vegetable oil and other renewable resources, all are 100% biodegradable and compostable.

The bag is tough enough to handle your household and yard needs and breaks down in about a month. For your garden, use Bio-Film between the soil and your plantings to protect from weeds and frost and to stimulate growth. Within 90 days, 95% of the film will be decomposed, adding its nutrients to the soil. Each product meets strict U.S. and international certification standards. 3 boxes of 25 3-gallon bags. USA.

Works great with biobag bucket Date: November 18, 2009
"These bags let air and moisture through in order to reduce bacterial odors. I used it first with regular trash can, but after a day the bottom of the can was wet and the content smelled bad too. Now I use them with MaxAir bucket by Biobag which, basically, has holes to let air circulation, and it works perfect. It is dry and odor-free."

"These bags are perfect for preventing nasty gunky messes in our kitchen compost crock. The bottom of the bag does start to decompose if we don't empty the crock regularly, but I just rinse the crock bottom and dump that water in the compost. I'm finding the bag and contents still intact in my compost bin weeks later, so I'm going to test dumping the crock contents and the bag separately to see if that speeds things up."

Kitchen BioBag in compost container

"We use the Kitchen size BioBags for our counter compost holder -- a ceramic can where we put the kitchen waste that will go to the outdoor composter. These bags work great for this purpose since we can now just throw bag and all into the composter.
Only problem we have encountered is that they do decompose quite quickly and so the bottom of the bag does leak sometimes if we wait too long (two weeks) to take it out. But that is minor since we can carry the entire container out and just dump all the contents into the composter.
I would recommend these bags. We also use them occasionaly when we clean out the litter boxes since these bags will decompose in the landfill. If they were cheaper, they would be the bag of choice for that purpose.
