"I bought this as a gift for my sister who lives in the pollution of Manhattan and she has had satisfactory experiences with this neti pot. Of course, if not for the coupons/discounts that Gaiam periodically offers, I might have gone elsewhere for a similar/identical neti pot at a lower price."

"I am new to the world of the Neti Pot, and I'm sorry that it's taken me this long to try it.

I recently suffered the woes that are H1N1. Besides being flat on my back for three days, I have been dealing with nasal congestion. I went to my local pharmacy and purchased the cheap plastic one they had. I am pleasantly surprised how well I can breathe again. I wish I had tried this earlier when I was dealing with severe congestion due to seasonal allergies.

I recently received an e-mail from a friend with tips to prevent contracting H1N1 besides the general washing hands and covering mouth. One of the tips was using a Neti Pot as well as gargling with salt water and drinking hot tea (or other hot beverages). The idea is that the saline mixture helps restore the natural levels of bacteria in the nose and throat.

I just ordered this ceramic pot, as I'm not a big fan of the cheap plastic one...imagine rough edges on the pot going in your nose. Also, the ceramic version here looks nicer. I also purchased Gaiam's neti pot salt and wash. I will be a regular neti pot user from here on out."
