"Well, only the first time. I shook this device for 30 seconds and then kept it on to see how long it would provide light. It kept going and going. After more than 24 hours, the light was really dim but still on. After 2 days, I shook it again for 30 seconds. The light went almost immediately to the intensity it had before the shaking.
So, on the third day I returned it. Some people report that these lights have a battery which provides the initial source of energy. Once the battery is depleted, they report that the light generated by shaking is very low and quickly diminishing. My experience seems to support this theory.
If you decide to buy this device, I would recommend to repeat what I did and then judge if the very low intensity light you get is something you can accept."
