Made from 100% recycled paper with a minimum 80% post-consumer content, our eco-conscious Bathroom Tissue is remarkably soft and has more sheets per roll than conventional chlorine-bleached brands. (500 count rolls vs. 260 count rolls!) Bleached with environmentally safe sodium hydrosulfite and/or hydrogen peroxide. Septic-system safe. USA/Canada.

"We have been buying this bath tissue for several years. It is not as soft as some of those brands that do things to make their paper soft but this tissue holds up very well. It does not need to be as soft as others. And this tissue is much softer than those "industrial" grades that you find in institutions. The only negative I can say is that there seems to be an inconsistency of quality and texture from case to case. Must come from different factories."

"I have used Seventh Generation's toilet paper for many, many years and I wouldn't use anything else for my family. I believe in the company and what they stand for and I feel good using their product against our skin. Although still a bit expensive (compared to other brands), it's been recently reduced and I think absolutely worth it. I've had people in my family or guests comment that it's a bit "rough" (those who are used to the ultra soft toilet paper), but it's not an issue at all in our family. Highly recommended."

"We have committed to buying this product for many years. The toilet tissue could be a little softer. When I visit my sister and use the soft fluffy stuff she buys it makes me think twice, but we won't save the planet unless we all make small sacrifices like this. It's pretty good for what it is...I've certainly used worse/more rough tp."

"I am a pretty avid advocate for Seventh Generation paper products - recycled, non-clear-cut product are extremely important.
I could wish for a softer tissue, but really - who cares.

This is the best price I can find for this toilet paper (when you buy in bulk) and I find the customer service at Gaiam to be worth returning for my goods!"

"I was finally able to get my husband to consider trying recycled TP after he read an article about the chemicals used to have soft products on our behinds. We tried a few different products and have settled on Seventh Generation. It is the softest of the products we have tested. So we still get softness on our bottoms, and we are helping the environment."

"I, too, have tried other brands of toilet paper made from recycled paper, and found it far inferior to the 7th Generation 2-ply, which I have been buying for years. And it is great to order in quantity and never have to lug it home from the store! Never have to run to the store when there's a winter storm warning! The quality is good, so I don't feel that I am sacrificing anything to save trees -- it's not like that episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" when Larry tried to sneak a chance to use some "regular" TP. In fact, because of the above-mentioned convenience, I think it actually improves my quality of life! As for the carbon footprint of shipping, well, the UPS truck is in my neighborhood every day anyway. Only drawback might be if you don't have room to store half a case."

"After years of buying this product, hard economic times lured me into buying a cheaper store brand. BIG MISTAKE!! Although the $3 for 6 "jumbo" rolls seemed like a bargain, it was not. No other toilet paper compares to the quality, softness, and strength of Gaiam's recycled double-ply. Gaiam's tissue lasts a long time and is sturdy enough for those tough jobs, if you know what I mean. It's fine texture does not clog the toilet or fill up the septic tank. Buy it by the half-case: you won't regret this purchase. I'll never stray again from my trusted Gaiam recycled T.P."

"I have been using Gaiam products for about 7 years and have never been disappointed. I believe the bath tissue is about the best buy I make, only purchasing paper roughly every 7 months or so.
