"With this machine our family has almost entirely eliminated trash. We really are amazed at how quickly it works, and how little else there is to stink up our kitchen trash bin. When I roll our household trash bin to the curb each week it is basically empty and has no smell so you can quickly imagine how much we are NOT contributing to landfills anymore.
The machine works well and has not had any major problems in the year that we have owned it. It does have some oddities, like starting the culture the first time which takes a little patience. And you can't do fiberous thing like celery or rose stems. In a way it reminds me of my first computer back in the day - quirky to learn how to speak its language, but once you get it is quite an amazing piece of technology. Much simpler to operate though - only one button!"
