"I agree with some other reviewers that these shoes may run a little small. I got my size and it just fit! I love J-41 shoes because they have great arch support for my flat feet! The shoes are very flattering and make your foot look small! Did not have to break them in at all. Comfortable right out of the box. The color may not be for everyone but they certainly make a statement. I've had a lot of positive comments about them from friends."

"I read the other reviews on size etc and was leary at first, but I love them!!!! I wore them to chaperone my sons dance and stood for 3 hours in them..no problem. Get lots of compliments. I ordered an 8 1/2, normally an 8, but I think I could of worn an 8 also, I just cinch up the velcro tighter, and no I don't slip out of them. I would buy any of their products, I'm that happy!"

"These shoes are the best shoes I've ever worn! I'm able to wear them all day. They are versatile, beautiful, and absolutely comfortable! I get comments from total strangers and friends about how gorgeous they are and how great they look on me. I wish they came in every color of the rainbow!!!
And since I'm VERY into the environment, I should also ad that they are TOTALLY made of recycled material. That's a real plus to me."

"I loved these shoes when I first got them 2 months ago. I have had no trouble wearing them for long periods of work. I have had no trouble slipping out of them as other reviewers have reported. I think if you are used to wearing clogs they are easy to wear. The down side is that the back of the shoe has already worn down and the stitching is ripping at the small lip that sits right behind your heal. This is disappointing as I have only worn them once or twice a week."

"I adore these shoes. They're cute and comfortable, and have just the right back-easing height for me. I normally cannot *stand* shoes that don't have backs/heel cups, but these don't bother me at all. They stay on my feet beautifully. I keep the straps fairly tight, and feared they would bother my feet, but I didn't notice them after a night of wandering. Usually I unintentionally kick off shoes without backs/heel cups, i.e. they just fly off my feet -- like a previous reviewer had happen to her, but these don't do that at all for me. They do just barely fit me, however, and I bought my usual size. If they weren't leather with some stretch, I think they'd be flirting with being too small, length-wise. My fiance doesn't like the orange on the straps, but he's a purist. In addition to the usual J-41 maps on the soles, there are glossy maps on the sides of the wedge, where they won't get worn by the ground -- neat. All in all, a wonderful shoe for me. I wish they had some left in black!"

Super Cute Death Traps

"I loved these shoes until I tried to walk in them; and then I loved the adventure! You never know when they're going to fly off your feet, leaving you tediously trying to remain upright. They're darling and comfortable, and the good news is: they stay on your feet most of the time, if you're mostly sedentary. They're only troublesome when you walk, particularly if you are taking that first step down a very tall flight of stairs, or trying to negotiate those slightly un-even accordian chutes going from the airplane to the to the terminal. Alas, I was so disappointed that not a soul even applauded my heroic break-dance-resembling efforts to keep from face-planitng. My fellow passengers only scattered as I scrambled - my shoes only half way on my feet while I, along with erything I was carying went flying through the air and skidding accross the well worn in-door out-door carpet. I had successfuly overcome the force on a previous occasions in these shoes. But it turns out, they were only preludes to Gravity's big performance. On this day, there was no fighting it. Gravity had the tallent of Susan Boyle. And I know when I've been beat. I finally lost my adventursome spirit for good, at least as respects these darling little death traps. (My scabs have finally healed, and my perspective has changed concerning that size limit for carry-ons)"

"After reading reviews, I was worried about fit. I fluctuate anywhere from an 8 to a 9, and I ordered an 8 1/2. Perfect fit w/ tights. I am tired of crocs, but comfortable shoes are a must for me. I love how feminine these shoes are with a COMFORTABLE heel. Great for a skirt and tights. Might breakdown and buy a pair of the brown ones too."

"I have two pair of these and love them so much. the black ones are a little dressier in suede and leather than my green nylon pair with rubberized toe. I do like the shoe so much I am considering getting the tan as well. I am hard to fit because of bone spur surgery and was so happy to have some height without sacrificing comfort. These might not work if you have REALLY narrow feet. Mine are medium size 10's and the shoes make my feet look smaller. Adjustable strap usually doesn't need to be adjusted every time you put on your shoes, since you slip them on and off. J41 is a great company and uses some recycled rubber in the soles of their shoes."
