Great mat for Yin Yoga Date: November 11, 2009
"This is a yummy, comfy mat to use for restorative yoga classes. It doesn't seem to cling to the floor well for more active yoga classes, although that might not be the case if it over another thinner mat."

Purchase for a Purpose Date: October 24, 2009
"I bought this mat because I wanted some more cushioning for my knees when doing yoga. The mat does serve that purpose and is good for a restorative yoga class. However, if you are an active yoga practitioner, I would not recommend this mat for your practice. It stretches and the ripples made it hard to balance in standing and balancing asanas."

best mat for sore joints Date: October 24, 2009
"This mat was a gift to my daughter. She has rheumatoid arthritis and has avoided YOGA because she thought it would hurt too much. I talked her into starting slowly by giving her your "15 min. DVD and this thick Yoga mat to ease her knee and ankle and wrist joints. She loves both the DVD and the mat and has been keeping to her practice for over a month now and is already seeing benefits. I am so happy she has finally discovered the wonderful world of YOGA!"

Great for Cushioning...not for balancing Date: October 24, 2009
"This mat is great to keep knees protected and the cushioning is very thick...for that reason you can't really do balancing poses on the mat. I just step off and think it's worth it to save my knees."

cushiony but stretchy too Date: October 20, 2009
"We bought these mats for our Pilates studio and they have held up to consistent use pretty well.
The downside is that they do get stretchy, which means that if anyone is doing something like downward dog, the mat will stretch along with them.
Still looking for a cushy and durable Pilates mat!

Happy with this mat! Date: May 27, 2009
"This mat is thicker and squishy, a big change from traditional mats. However, for someone with wrist and joint issues that's a plus. I don't find it any more slippery than other mats and feel like it suits my purposes pretty well. It does take a little getting used to at first though.
Other than that the only down side I can see is that it can shred on the ribbed side if you use too much pressure. The flat side does not have this problem. On the whole I'm happy to have found something that makes getting back into a regular practice far less painful and savasana is AWESOME on this puppy!

fitness mat - not yoga mat Date: January 14, 2009
"I purchased the Cushionmax Fitness Mat to use during Yoga due to the thickness of the mat. The mat was very comfortable but I don't recommend for Yoga due to the strechiness of the mat."
