"My interest in the balanceball chair began with the knowledge that core strength is all about posture. So, I purchased my ball chair for my home office. Sitting on the ball chair encourages me to sit up and take notice of my posture at all times. Whenever I tire of sitting up straight in my chair, I do small bounces up and down to stimulate the immune system. The Desktop Guide book that comes with the chair has some very beneficial stretches and movements. I like that the chair is lightweight, and that the ball can be removed to do a workout and then be replaced back in the chair out of the way."

"Some of the other reviews left me skeptical, but I'm very glad I went ahead and purchased this chair. There are complaints about height; I am 5'7 and it's not a problem. I am 7 months pregnant and use this chair at work. It helps me keep good posture, which in turn helps backaches after work. I teach, so i don't just sit all day, but it definitely does its job. Plus it was extremely easy to assemble and all my students (teenagers) think it's awesome."

"Got this to help with my posture while sitting at the computer all day--love it!! Helps tilt your pelvis so your spine stacks over the pelvis instead of all slumpy. I feel more alert when sitting up straight, and can lift my collarbones and move shoulders back and feel even better!
I too had the wheel lock issue and we just put the locking wheels on the rear instead of right by where you tend to kick the front ones--try it!!"

"I have had a ball chair for the last 3 years at work and it is great! I am am outdoorsy person and hate to sit for hours on end but when I have to I will only use this chair. It forces you to sit up straight and really improves your balance."

Good, but wheels breakable

"I got this chair for my office and had it about a week before one of the wheels came apart. I would like to have stronger wheels or to have the option of purchasing replacement wheels. If the wheels break, then this item seems to be less than worth the price - just buy a bigger yoga ball for the office."

"The overall rating I gave this product was a 4 because for what you pay for the chair, you would think the quality would be heavier and sturdier than just a light plastic. However, with that being said, the ball is great. It does take some getting used too. But the benefits far outweigh the awkardness of getting used to the chair and the looks you get from people in the office. My first week of using the chair, I gradually sat on the chair a little more each day and by Friday, I had no pain in my neck or my shoulders or my lower back because I so cognizant of my posture while sitting in the chair."

"I would highly recommend this chair for anyone over 5' 3". I am 5' 3" and can only touch the floor with my toes when on the ball, but I don't mind and get an extra calf workout out of the deal. I have sat on a ball at my desk for 2 years now and has been the best "chair" I have ever used. This chair puts your spine in perfect alignment and reduces stresses on your neck, shoulders, upper and lower back. Just make sure you are close enough to your keyboard so that your elbows remain at your sides. The ball chair is beneficial over just a ball as it prevents the ball from rolling away when you stand up and allows you to change direction much easier. I moved the locking casters to the rear to prevent accidental locking. The casters roll best on a hard smooth surface. They are not going to move on carpet of any kind. This physical therapist gives this chair 2 thumbs up!"

"I love this balance ball chair! I ordered mine to use at work, instead of my office chair. It's perfect. I moved my nice office chair right out of my office now and only use the balance ball chair. Love knowing it's a bit of exercise with each move I make. I'm 5'9" and the height is just right for me to keep my knees at 90 degrees. If you are shorter, you just put less air in the ball to lower your sit. Perfect and fun chair!! All the girls in our office want one now. The only reason I gave 4 stars in one area is the chair leg locks... I keep hitting them with feet and locking it. I might remove the front leg locks if I can. :-))"

"Though I love the balance ball, I am still a little unsure of the chair itself. As a desk chair I thought I would be able to sit and actually "touch" the chair back. This is awkward and simply not possible. I am assuming that the chair is really just a stabilizer for the resistance exercises? Otherwise, a great product choice!!"

"I have chronic sciatica and have a difficult time finding chairs I can sit in without pain. I bought this chair to use as my desk chair and I love it. It took me a few tries to get the ball inflated just right, but once I did it made a big difference in my comfort level. I am a graduate student and often sit at my desk for hours at a time and this is the only chair I've been able to sit in that long with minimal or absent pain. I haven't used the chair or the ball for exercise yet, so I can't really comment on that."

"I had ordered one of these chairs before and was extremely happy. The new chair has a slightly different design and the ball squeaks. One of the casters never worked properly as the chair did not roll on my mat (my first chair rolls smoothly) and then the caster broke. Can't use the chair as don't know where to get a replacement caster. I've recommended this chair to several people in the past, but won't recommend again."
