"Some of the other reviews left me skeptical, but I'm very glad I went ahead and purchased this chair. There are complaints about height; I am 5'7 and it's not a problem. I am 7 months pregnant and use this chair at work. It helps me keep good posture, which in turn helps backaches after work. I teach, so i don't just sit all day, but it definitely does its job. Plus it was extremely easy to assemble and all my students (teenagers) think it's awesome."

"Got this to help with my posture while sitting at the computer all day--love it!! Helps tilt your pelvis so your spine stacks over the pelvis instead of all slumpy. I feel more alert when sitting up straight, and can lift my collarbones and move shoulders back and feel even better!

I too had the wheel lock issue and we just put the locking wheels on the rear instead of right by where you tend to kick the front ones--try it!!"

"I have had a ball chair for the last 3 years at work and it is great! I am am outdoorsy person and hate to sit for hours on end but when I have to I will only use this chair. It forces you to sit up straight and really improves your balance."

"I bought the chair to use at work to help with balance. WOW! I love it!! Helps not only my balance but my posture by forcing me to sit up straight. Both my job-share co-worker and I think it is the best chair ever! Only problem was getting my husband to give it back so I could actually bring it into the office. He borrowed it to "try" in his home office and had a hard time giving it up. I told him to order his own;)"

I Love This Chair

"I bought one of these for everyone in my office, and they are fabulous! We work 10 hr shifts, I use only this chair, the rest of the team switch out so they can slouch...but it is the best investment ever made! My only complaint is that they say the ball is un-poppable...not true...one of them popped the first week, it was not over inflated, or on anything sharp, nothing was amis, must have had a weak spot or something, so one of the chairs sits empty without a ball..."

"I purchased this chair from Gaiam when they first featured it. It's incredible. No fatigue in my back/body whatsoever, even if I end up sitting for a large percentage of the day- and given that I use it all day long in an 8a-5p office environment, that says a lot. It absolutely rivals any expensive ergonomic chair on the market - and I've tried many of them. I'm 5'10" and it works great for me. I highly recommend this chair."

Great Chair

"My husband bought me this product, along with a few other Gaiam products for Christmas last year. Instead of using this chair at my desk, I acutally use it to watch television most of the time. It makes me sit up and use my stomach muscles so it is great for my back. I highly recommend this chair to everyone."

"I am so glad I ordered this chair! No more aches and pains from slumped shoulders and hunched back! Chair arrived in just a few days and was easy to put together. I use my chair at home and would love to have one at work, too. I do think it's a bit pricey for plastic but I waited till it was on sale and used a coupon for free shipping - so I felt I got a good deal."

"I purchased this chair to replace another ergonomic chair I needed to repad after many years of use. Needless to say, the other chair is now obsolete. "I love this chair! I purchased it after having lower back and hip issues. Once I received the chair and set it up, I found immediate relief not only in my hips and lower back but also in my legs and shoulders.
It is also easy to assemble.
I have had several people question me about the "odd looking" chair. I can only give great reviews.
I plan on purchasing more for my massage therapy practice and recommend the chair for all of my clients that sit a a desk all day."

"After a particularly long project, where I was sitting in my old chair for about 18 straight hours, my back aching and my eyes swimming, I was online perusing the internet for a better seating option. This was how I came to buy this chair.

It arrived very quickly. It was very easy to assemble. It is very comfortable.

There is only one small warning I would issue. Very short people should beware. I'm 5'4" and I'm almost too tall for the chair. Anatomically, you want your knees and hips on the same level. To get my hips down to the level of my knees I had to deflate the ball quite a bit; which in turn makes the ball softer as well as smaller. So it's doable, but I wouldn't recommend it to people much shorter than myself."

Can't believe this chair

"I get horrible backaches sitting on my cheap uncomfortable computer chair at home (within 5 minutes). I also have scolioisis.

So I ordered this after reading reviews and got it on Friday. Took about 10 minutes to put together (the easiest thing I have EVER put together) and it was ready. I sat on it for a period of time on Friday and Saturday and Sunday and kept waiting and waiting for my backache to come and it never came! I'm sold....It's cute too."

"I have looked at this for a while, as I have a bad back and I can't say enough about it. I sit in it for 7-8 hours at day at work and not only has it greatly improved my back, but it has improved my core and I am two sizes smaller.

Balance Ball at Office

"After a bout with sciatica a year ago, I knew I had to change my work chair. The balance ball seat is perfect because it rolls easily from computer to desk, forces good posture and encourages quick "stretch" breaks. We're getting a second one for my work partner."
