"Some of the other reviews left me skeptical, but I'm very glad I went ahead and purchased this chair. There are complaints about height; I am 5'7 and it's not a problem. I am 7 months pregnant and use this chair at work. It helps me keep good posture, which in turn helps backaches after work. I teach, so i don't just sit all day, but it definitely does its job. Plus it was extremely easy to assemble and all my students (teenagers) think it's awesome."

"Got this to help with my posture while sitting at the computer all day--love it!! Helps tilt your pelvis so your spine stacks over the pelvis instead of all slumpy. I feel more alert when sitting up straight, and can lift my collarbones and move shoulders back and feel even better!
I too had the wheel lock issue and we just put the locking wheels on the rear instead of right by where you tend to kick the front ones--try it!!"

"I bought one of these for everyone in my office, and they are fabulous! We work 10 hr shifts, I use only this chair, the rest of the team switch out so they can slouch...but it is the best investment ever made! My only complaint is that they say the ball is un-poppable...not true...one of them popped the first week, it was not over inflated, or on anything sharp, nothing was amis, must have had a weak spot or something, so one of the chairs sits empty without a ball..."

"I purchased this chair from Gaiam when they first featured it. It's incredible. No fatigue in my back/body whatsoever, even if I end up sitting for a large percentage of the day- and given that I use it all day long in an 8a-5p office environment, that says a lot. It absolutely rivals any expensive ergonomic chair on the market - and I've tried many of them. I'm 5'10" and it works great for me. I highly recommend this chair."

"I get horrible backaches sitting on my cheap uncomfortable computer chair at home (within 5 minutes). I also have scolioisis.
So I ordered this after reading reviews and got it on Friday. Took about 10 minutes to put together (the easiest thing I have EVER put together) and it was ready. I sat on it for a period of time on Friday and Saturday and Sunday and kept waiting and waiting for my backache to come and it never came! I'm sold....It's cute too."

"It was a little hard to learn not to lean back on the backrest... but other than that, this is a great chair. I know it keeps me moving more than my regular desk chair does, and I practice sitting straighter too. I thought it would be hard to get used to, but I didn't have any troubles. Good chair if you want to work on posture and core muscles during the day."

"I bought this chair for my office because my posture and stomach muscles had been taking a dive. So far so good, but it is still possible to use bad posture while sitting on this ball. I don't advise that however, because everytime I do, it makes my tailbone hur tso bad that when I stand I don't want to move for awhile. Now if I could just remember that while I'm sitting.Beyond that, I'm buying another one to use at home."

"This is the second ball chair I've owned. It has kept me from having any back issues ever since owning one. I recommend it to everyone...and most everyone says it's too weird looking. Yeah, well, you look pretty weird hunched over with back pain too. This is far better.
Also, Gaim's service is amazing. The packaging did not have the plug to keep the air in the ball (or so I thought...I found it later). I called and the person on the phone said it would take 10-14 days to send me a new one (which they were happy to do). About two days later, I got it in the mail...express. Kathy, I think, had sensed my disappointment in it taking so long (for something the size of a thumbtack) so, she personally found one, packed it up and sent it express with a handwritten note. THAT is customer service!!"

Beware of height!

"I think the chair is wonderfully comfortable, BUT no where in the description does it say the finsihed height of the chair (only that it has a 52" ball). When it arrived, I set it up, only to find that it was about 3-4 inches too low for me to work at my office computer (I have bifocals, so I must be higher than the screen, and I cannot make my desk lower because it's a 1 piece L). So I have a wonderful chair that is absolutely useless for the 7-8 hours a day at work I spend at my screen. If there was a way to order a higher base for the ball, it would have made all the difference. As it is, I'm trying to figure out how to build a 4 inch platform for under the chair."

We do have the seat height listed under dimensions and specs. You can slightly over inflate your ball to give it more height. If you didn't measure 52 cm out you may want to make sure it is fully inflated before over inflating it.
