"This is the best chair ever, I just wish i could get gaiam credit for all the information I give out on the chair on a daily basis... I give the name of the chair and the name of the website to everyone who takes interest in the chair. If you want attention at the office, buy this chair. Everyone will ask you about it. I am kind to my co-workers and allow the first sit for free. Everyone just loves it but not more than myself. I am so happy I bought this chair, my back no longer hurts after a long day of sitting in a chair at a desk. I have Degerative Joint Disease and it has not acted up once since I have been using the chair."

Great for Posture

"I purchased this chair to use at my work to help me work my core muscles as I sit at my desk. I found it to be quite easy to assemble and it definitely makes me sit up straight. My only issue (which might be just me) is that my sit-muscles get sore after I sit on it for a couple of hours. I'm hoping this is just temporary and I'll 'toughen up.' Overall a great buy!"

"I love, love, love my BallanceBall Chair. I've had it for about six months now and have had no problems with it. It does a great job of working my core while I'm sitting at my desk all day. And I can always burn a few extra calories by bouncing. We actually ordered an additional one for our computer desk at home.

I did change one thing about it, though. The ball that it came with had me sitting just a touch higher than I liked, so I purchased an additional XS ball (45 cm) for it and now it's the perfect height. It would be nice if Gaiam gave you the option of choosing what size ball you needed to go with the chair."

"I have been using this chair at work for 6 months and I love it. It takes a little time to get used to, this is not a chair you can just plop into. I have a stronger core, no back problems and the "seat" is way more comfortable than my old chair. All the girls in the office now have one!"

"I caution that the chair is too short for proper use at desk! Hence, it is of no use - simply an eyesore due to very cheap plastic construction! Too expensive to return; hence a very regretable purchase! Whilst the theory is great - next time, I will spring for a quality product (unfortunatley, I did not realize how tacky in appearance this chair was; nor, the height vs. standard desk as pictures are misleading)!"

"Gives and takes. It is more comfortable and easier to sit upon than other swiss ball chairs. However, for long periods, some back support would be really helpful. Wish the back would go up higher. I think it must be doing something to help with muscles. After the first month of use, I was able to feel some muscles being used, but not feeling them anymore and we've had the chair six months."

"I love my balance ball chair! I purchased it for my desk at work. It definitely has helped tone / strengthen my core. It forces me to pay more attention to my posture and helps to keep me sitting up straight. When I have a free minute or two, I tackle some of the exercises that came with the chair. Perfect for a good stretch; refreshes me when I'm feeling a little tired. Was a snap to put together. The quality is very good. I consider it a great investment, I'd highly recommend to anyone."

Good chair for posture

"I really like the Balanceball chair as a way to remind me to keep my spine and head erect and my shoulders back. It is comfortable and easy to assemble. I am 5' 8", but if I was taller it may not be as effective since the chair is not adjustable.

I use a 55cm ball for exercises as the ball that comes with the chair is too small.

It has helped me through many hours of computer work!!"

"in the past, i've used my exercise ball alone as an alternative to my desk chair in order to relieve some of the stiffness i've always suffered when working for hours on end and to build core strength. your chair is a helpful improvement over just using a ball. it's structure provides greater stability and support. moving to the balance ball chair has eliminated my stiffness. i feel fresh even after sitting at my desk for hours. your product has completely replaced my more-normal desk chair. the brake casters still present a challenge. thanks so much to this wonder chair!"

"This balance ball chair has strengthened my back muscles such that I sleep more comfortably. I also have used the ball out of the chair for other muscle toning exercises. I broke my tail bone years ago and it often bothers me in my job, where I am sitting most of the day at the computer. The balance ball chair has significantly improved my symptoms."
